Karen Riley, Office Manager

Karen is our office manager and has been in the dental field since 1988. After graduating from Rockland Community College in 1995 with an Associate Math & Science Degree, she continued to work as a Registered Dental Assistant while honing her skills as an office manager. Karen joined the team in 2002. She works directly with patients and their insurance plans as well as scheduling appointments and setting up financial arrangements. Karen also provides BriteSmile® teeth-whitening to our patients as well as other clinical work to further assist Dr. Perlmutter.

 

Erica Orozco, C.D.A.,R.D.A.

Erica received her degree from Berdan Institute in 2000, beginning her career in all phases of dental assistance. She joined Dr. Perlmutter's practice in September 2009. Erica assists the doctor in all procedures including digital x-rays, intra-oral camera operating systems, temporary dental crowns, dental molds and preparing dental lab cases, while helping to make patients comfortable during their cosmetic or restorative procedures.

 

 

Karina Figueroa, R.D.H.

Karina received her AAS Degree and state certification from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey (UMDNJ) in 2007. She is licensed to practice Dental Hygiene in New Jersey and New York State and has over 12 years experience in general practice. She is a member on the American Dental Hygienists' Association. She performs dental hygiene and tooth cleaning, periodontal therapy and takes digital x-rays. She is motivated to improve the oral health of her patients by instructing them in proper oral hygiene practices.

 

Susan Scardino-Olear, R.D.H.

Susan is one of our Registered Dental Hygienists. Currently completing her B.S. in Biology, she graduated top of her class in 1999 from Bergen Community College. With her extensive dental experience of over 15 years and her expertise in periodontal therapy, Susan takes pride in her career. Her caring personality makes every patient feel comfortable in her chair. She takes digital x-rays, performs dental hygiene and tooth cleaning, periodontal therapy, and educates patients in oral hygiene techniques and their importance.
